Stan Skrabut is a card carrying lifelong learner who has spent his career helping people and organizations achieve improved performance. He is a scholar, teacher, author, veteran, martial artist, and avid reader. Throughout his working life, he has changed roles and responsibilities countless times. He worked as a guard, organizational trainer, instructional technologist, webmaster, systems programmer, lecturer, and director. He uses informal learning, especially reading, as a way to improve himself and subsequently his teams. His interest in informal learning inspired his dissertation topic, Study of Informal Learning Among University of Wyoming Extension Educators.
He lives with his wife and two dogs in Rhode Island. Nomadic in nature, he loves to travel and has lived in Germany, Belgium, Holland, Turkey, and various locations across the United States. His number one passion is helping others achieve their goals. He has been a member of ATD for over ten years and this is his third chapter.
Ryan is a Senior Learning & Development Partner at UNFI where he helps individuals, teams, leaders, and organizations achieve their goals through effective learning, development, and engagement. His main focus areas include leadership development, enterprise learning solutions, and organizational development. He provides a range of services in these areas including leadership program development and management, in-person and virtual training facilitation, instructional design, consulting, team effectiveness, and more.
Ryan holds a Ph.D. in Applied Organizational Psychology and a Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Hofstra University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Gettysburg College. He also holds a certificate in training from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) and is an Insights Discovery Certified Practitioner. In his spare time, he enjoys a variety of hobbies such as reading, music, concerts, coffee, podcasts, exercise and spending time with family and friends.
Sarah is an Instructional Design Manager with diverse experience across corporate, higher ed, museum, and K-12 organizations. In her current role, she manages a wide-range of programs designed to support team members’ growth and success. She is particularly passionate about using a data-driven approach to ensure that team members get relevant, targeted, and timely training that is directly tied to business needs. Inspired by her theater background, she fervently believes in the power of good storytelling and in the critical role of safe spaces to practice, experiment, and (to borrow from Neil Gaiman) to make "glorious, amazing mistakes."
In her free time, Sarah enjoys hiking, traveling, and exploring New England with her Husband and Daughter.
Jill Kasten is a leader, trainer, and active volunteer. She currently works at Wind River Environmental as a Training Specialist. She has built a reputation as a team player committed to the community and can think outside the box. Jill has a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology and is currently working on her PsyD in Leadership Psychology because she believes in creating healthier workspaces focusing on change management. She is committed to employee training and development.
Jill is also a birth professional who has taught for Childbirth International for 13 years. She has published articles on pregnancy/birth and taught locally and internationally. Jill also served as Lead Doula for the Pettaway Pursuit Foundation (PPF) helping improve pregnancy outcomes in under-served populations in MA. Jill received the “Angel Award” in 2017 for her work with PPF clients and went on to serve on their board of directors.
Jill has a lifetime commitment to community service and volunteer work. She has served in various leadership and organizational capacities for numerous non-profit organizations, encompassing homeschooling, the arts, social justice, and professional development. Jill has four children whom she successfully homeschooled for 16 years. She loves to travel and knit and has a passion for helping others.
Greg Jacques, a resident of Providence, RI, together with his wife Montana, brings over a decade of experience in Learning & Development (L&D) to his role as the Manager of Training at Wind River Environmental. His expansive career has seen him contribute to various industries, including Nonprofit, Automotive, Telecom, Pharmaceutical, and Public Utilities. A proud alumnus of Roger Williams University, Greg holds a bachelor’s degree that underpins his professional expertise. Currently, he also dedicates his skills to the community by serving as the Vice President of Finance for ATD Central MA. Greg is deeply driven by his passion for enhancing workplace efficiency and effectiveness, a commitment that not only advances careers but also enriches personal lives.
Mary holds an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Teachers College, Columbia University and is completing an M.A. Educational Technology Leadership from George Washington University. She currently leads talent development for faculty at Bryant University, and has led L&D projects for linguistically and culturally diverse learners in Russia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Germany. Her areas of interest include project management, adult learning, educational technology, task authenticity and learning transfer, content-based instruction, competency-based learning, and culturally responsive instruction, particularly in adapting learning design and technology use to be more culturally relevant to the target culture.
As a strategic HR partner focusing on learning, talent development and talent management, Amol Mandalaywala has partnered with corporate and educational leaders as well as individuals to develop initiatives that have shaped organizational culture through the professional development of individuals, leaders and teams. He started his career in talent development and management as an external client-facing learning consultant and facilitator at Kaplan, Inc. He is skilled in identifying talent gaps and root causes of curriculum gaps to design, develop and deliver learning strategies and journeys to develop employees’ capabilities, skills and competencies to maximize talent, engagement, experience and performance, which, in turn, positively impacts organizational effectiveness. Recently, Amol has transitioned to an internal client-facing role at EY (Ernst & Young, LLP) as an Assistant Director of Learning for the Strategy and Transaction (SaT) practice.
Ann has been the Administrative Coordinator with Central Mass ATD since 2014. She is also the Admin for ATD Puget Sound (Seattle) and ATD Cascadia (Oregon). She has a deep affection for all things ATD and has discovered she is a live long learner according to the ATD Capability Model.
Ann lives in Seattle where she and her husband are enjoying having a quieter nest after raising their two children who remain nearby and pop in frequently. She enjoys reading, genealogy and organizing things when not working or traveling.
